You will code diagnoses/procedures, stay current on ICD-10/CPT, maintain EMR/EHR records, and lead training for the billing team while seeking process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of medical billing or insurance claims processing experience.
• Proficiency with medical billing software and EHR systems.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Submit insurance claims to private payers, government programs, corporate accounts, and special programs.
• Verify patient coverage and eligibility; manage accounts, payments, and collections.
• Follow up on denials and appeals with documentation.
• Communicate with patients and providers to resolve billing or coding issues.
• Maintain accurate billing records in EMR/EHR and stay current on coding and payer policies.
• Provide training and support to the Billing team.
