Job summary

Emory TMS Center in Atlanta seeks a Billing & Insurance Coordinator to manage the revenue cycle for our high-volume TMS practice. You’ll verify benefits, submit authorizations, file claims and address denials, working closely with our billing company as the internal expert on TMS reimbursement.

Requirements include 2+ years in medical billing (behavioral health preferred), experience with TMS CPT codes and payers such as Medicare/Medicaid, and knowledge of appeals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience (behavioral health preferred).
• Experience with TMS CPT codes and insurance authorizations.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial payers.
• Knowledge of appeal processes and payer negotiations.
• Certification (CPC, RHIT, etc.) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and coverage for new TMS patients.
• Submit and track prior authorization requests.
• Submit claims and follow up on denials.
• Manage appeals for TMS authorizations and claims denials.
• Work with patients on payment plans and financial assistance.
• Train front desk on insurance verification processes.

We need someone who knows this world.You'll be the point person for insurance verification, authorization, claims submission, and appeals.
