Job summary

Jewish Family Home Care, Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Billing to oversee daily billing operations for home care services, ensure accurate invoices, and monitor accounts receivable.

This role collaborates with the Controller, Staffing, Nursing, and Accounting to optimize revenue cycle processes. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of billing experience in healthcare, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with WellSky Personal Care or similar software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years billing experience, preferably in home care or healthcare.
• Experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, payment reconciliation, and collections.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and payer requirements.
• Experience with WellSky Personal Care or comparable home care software preferred.
• Experience with FundEasy Accounting Software preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate invoices and claims for home care services.
• Verify caregiver hours, service authorizations, reimbursement rates, and supporting documentation.
• Review EVV records to ensure billing accuracy.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, denied claims, and payment issues.
• Monitor accounts receivable, outstanding invoices, and unpaid claims; follow up on collections.
• Assist with payment posting, account reconciliation, and maintenance of records.
• Ensure billing practices comply with payer requirements and regulations.
• Maintain organized billing records and assist with internal audits.
• Collaborate with Staffing, Nursing, and Accounting to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare billing, accounts receivable, and collection reports for the Business Office Director.
