Job summary

Fairmount Homes is seeking a Billing Coordinator to join our Finance team and support accurate, timely billing while delivering excellent service to residents, families, and partners. Located on a 70+ acre campus in rural Ephrata, PA, the role emphasizes attention to detail, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.

You'll learn Private Pay and Medicaid billing, with opportunities to expand toward Medicare Part B and third-party billing as you grow your expertise, supported by a team

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented billing support and data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with billing, accounting, or healthcare finance is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate resident accounts including census, rates, and insurance info.
  • Enter charges into billing system and post payments from residents and insurers.
  • Prepare monthly statements and assist with collections follow-up.
  • Coordinate Medicaid processes: applications, renewals, reporting, and correspondence.
  • Support daily/monthly reporting and audit preparation; assist with other billing tasks as needed.

Fairmount Homes is seeking a Billing Coordinator to join our Finance team and support accurate, timely billing while providing excellent service to residents, families, team members, and community partners.

What You'll Do

As a Billing Coordinator, you'll help maintain efficient billing processes and support the financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities Include
  • Maintaining accurate resident account information, including census, rates, insurance information, and account profiles
  • Importing and entering charges into PointClickCare
  • Posting, verifying, and recording resident and insurance payments
  • Preparing monthly resident statements and assisting with collection follow-up
  • Coordinating Medicaid-related processes, including applications, renewals, reporting requirements, and correspondence
  • Managing Custom Pay processes, including eligibility paperwork, agreements, letters, and reporting
  • Completing insurance verification requests and related billing support activities
  • Monitoring and responding to inquiries in the Billing Department Outlook inbox
  • Maintaining billing logs and tracking systems to ensure account accuracy and follow-up
  • Assisting with daily and monthly reporting, including census, accounts receivable, Medicaid reporting, and month-end processes
  • Supporting audit preparation and compliance-related documentation
  • Cross-training in additional billing functions and providing support across the department as needed
