Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Billing & Coding Specialist in Albany, NY. The role requires knowledge of coding practices, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include coding cases, providing fee estimates, and handling insurance follow-ups. The position is full-time, with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of coding practices (CPT, ASA, ICD-10); CPC certification preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in medical billing and insurance follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Share in coding cases from 6 facilities.
• Provide anesthesia fee estimates to patients/facilities.
• Submit outstanding documentation requests to clinical staff.
• Prepare prepayment arrangements for cosmetic cases.
• Insurance follow-up for underpayments, overpayments, and denials.
• Serve as backup for intake and processing facility paperwork.
