Did you know that all the billboards you see along the highway are built like a small erector set - connecting A to B to C and so on? Our Billboard Construction Crew Members construct and maintain our billboard inventory, and that could be you if you like working outdoors. Our Lamar office in North Chesterfield, VA, is now hiring a full-time Operations crew member to help us bring outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in North Chesterfield, Virginia, and the surrounding areas.

The purpose of this position is to maintain billboards, perform vegetation and structure maintenance, and erect and dismantle structures.

What We're Looking For In YOU

• Ability to safely operate construction and vegetation equipment
• Knowledge of electrical procedures and techniques
• Ability to document installations via photos and logs
• Willingness to learn welding & torching equipment
• Willingness and ability to learn to use a smartphone for job tasks

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour Construction course
• Preferred certifications: CDL/Non-CDL, Crane, Signal, or Rigging
• Experience working at heights up to 200 ft. preferred

A Day In The Life

• Erect and dismantle billboard structures.
• Maintain structures and vegetation, including painting, repairs, trimming, and grass cutting.
• Prepare for trips, load vinyl, document maintenance.
• Keep shop and yard organized, recycle old vinyls.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety regulations.
• Take photos of completed work.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Primarily outdoors, work in adverse weather, climb up to 200 ft.
• Moderate to heavy lifting, reaching, seeing, standing, climbing, etc.
• Travel less than 10% overnight, on-call shifts possible.
