Role Overview:
As the Billboard and Construction Inspector for the Crawfordsville District you will be responsible for data collection, reconciliation, and implementation of the Outdoor Advertising Control (OAC) program within the District. This position also oversees complex right-of-way permit projects in a manner that balances economic development with transportation infrastructure protection. Position responsibilities include coordination with Central Office, other Districts, and other INDOT divisions to implement policies and procedures for Permits and other programs impacting outdoor advertising (OA) and major permit projects. This position serves as the lead for the District in ensuring that applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, as well as INDOT policies and procedures, are followed. Failure to adequately administer the OAC program could result in a 10% reduction in Indiana’s federal highway funding. The staff person for this position must be a graduate of INDOT’s Certified Technician Program, or become certified within the first six months of hire. The position reports directly to the Crawfordsville District Permit Manager.
CDL Positions:
Candidates with a current CDL will earn an additional $1 per hour for this position. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL, with training provided by INDOT, and will then earn an additional $1 per hour upon successfully obtaining their CDL.

Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $53,222.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
