This remote position involves reviewing, auditing, and data-entry of medical bills across multiple states and lines of business.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Audit medical bills to ensure appropriateness and compliance with State Fee Schedules, customer guidelines, and PPO discounts.
• Utilize knowledge of Fee Schedules and operate computer terminals effectively.
• Consult reference materials as needed during auditing.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Production Requirements

• Achieve 98% accuracy and process over 10,000 keystrokes per hour, depending on specific situations or state issues.

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of medical terminology, workers’ compensation billing guidelines, and fee schedules.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD/HCPCS coding.
• Experience with UBO4/DWC-9/DWC-10 and CMS 1500 forms is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of data entry experience.
• Experience in Medical Bill Review is preferred.

Pay Range

Pay rates vary based on location and other factors, ranging from $18.80 to $30.34 per hour. Details are provided during the hiring process.
