Job summary

Lenco Armored Vehicles in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Bills of Materials (BOM) Coordinator to prepare part numbers and BOMs for current and new product configurations. You will maintain BOM data in the ERP system per corporate standards and evaluate engineering changes for ERP impact.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering and other departments to resolve configuration issues, ensure compliance with drawing formats, and support cross‑functional teams in building vehicles and parts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of BOM experience or equivalent in engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and BOM generation.
• Understanding of core design and manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
• Problem-solving and independent work ethic to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Update, maintain, and enter accurate BOM data into the ERP system based on engineering changes.
• Coordinate engineering changes and process requests across all key departments.
• Analyze required components to successfully build vehicles, especially new products.
• Research, recommend, and process stock dispositions and inventory transactions.
• Maintain Product Master records and ensure BOMs are consistent with drawings.
• Ensure compliance with drawing formats and part naming conventions.
• Perform root-cause analysis for issues arising from change requests.

Job Summary:
The Bill of Materials Coordinator is a key contributor responsible for assisting in the preparation of parts numbers and bills of material for current and new product configurations. You will create and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system per corporate standards. This role evaluates engineering changes for ERP impact and works cross-functionally with Engineering and other departments to research and resolve configuration issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Update, maintain, and enter accurate BOM data into the ERP system based on engineering changes.
• Coordinate engineering changes and process requests across all key departments.
• Analyze required components to successfully build vehicles, particularly for newly developed products.
• Research, recommend, and process stock dispositions, inventory transactions, and service notes.
• Maintain Product Master records and cross-reference information within a secured environment.
• Ensure strict compliance with corporate drawing formats, part naming conventions, and uniform BOMs
• Perform technical problem analysis to identify root causes, outline resolution options, and resolve issues generated by change requests.

• 2+ years of related experience directly working with engineering and manufacturing Bills of Material.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, engineering change workflows, and BOM generation.
• Strong understanding of core design and manufacturing principles.
• High proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications, with a heavy emphasis on data accuracy.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to serve as a liaison between departments.
• Problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of working independently to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional work experience.
