    What part will you play?

    Under the direction of the Supply Chain Process Owner, the BOM Director will lead the creation of product information standards in the new ERP system. This includes Product items, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and routings. They will work with the engineering, supply chain, accounting, inventory, and fabrication teams to standardize and apply these related processes across Diversified. This person will use their knowledge of master data management along with their relevant industry experience to lead the creation and adoption of standard processes across Diversified’s product management ecosystem. They will participate in all aspects of the ERP project including: planning, process design, configuration decisions, test planning, user role creation, data conversion, implementation, and support. They will provide oversight of relevant SMEs across the supply chain, engineering, inventory, etc. teams in order to successfully deliver the project.

    What will you be doing?

  • Lead the design and creation of the product data management standards at Diversified. This includes BOMs, routings, and all relevant product information necessary to produce our products.
  • Establish the data governance process to maintain the product information in the ERP.
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and supply chain resources to create BOMMs and route in a CTO / ETO environment.
  • Lead the SMEs from engineering, supply chain, inventory, fabrication, and accounting to create the necessary structure to support the new operational processes.
  • Define the requirements to convert existing data from legacy sources to be loaded into the new ERP.
  • Work closely with the project leadership to identify and manage risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Lead the adoption of the new processes and systems into the related teams as they move into production.
  • Coach and mentor Diversified resources and subject matter experts (SMEs) assigned to the project.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities in Diversified Operations to improve effectiveness, quality, and accuracy of information.
  • What do we require from you?

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelors (or higher) degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, finance, or a related discipline.
    • Industry experience as a director (or higher) in supply chain, engineering, or production operations.
    • 10+ years of experience managing product data and processes with a company of similar size (or larger) and complexity.
    • Experience participating in the planning and implementation of product master data standards across an organization.
    • Experience designing related processes and adopting them in a similar project/product operations organization.
    • Experience defining functional requirements for ERP supply applications.
    • Experience with the testing of supply chain applications and data in structured system and business process tests.
    • Experience defining user roles and security requirements.

    License or Certification

    • Certification by ASCM, ISM, or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.

    Other Skills & Abilities

    • Ability to make key decisions on behalf of the Diversified supply chain organization.
    • Ability to lead the implementation of business process changes required by the Diversified supply chain and related functions.
    • Ability to escalate critical risks, issues and decisions to program leadership as needed.
    • Ability to identify and manage risks within the supply chain teams.
    • Ability to lead diverse teams (internal and external resources) across different geographies with varying levels of experience toward common goals.
    • Ability to identify and communicate opportunities to advance Diversified supply chain in effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Ability to lead through timely process design decisions that stay within standard application functionality.
    • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships across all areas of the project.
