Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) seeks a Youth Program Leader (Bilingual: English/Spanish) for the 2026-2027 school year. The position supports TK-8 students across multiple Daly City and San Mateo sites, delivering safe, engaging learning experiences five days a week during the school year.

You will mentor students, adapt enrichment activities, and collaborate with families and staff to foster academic and life-skill growth.

Qualifications

• Commitment to BGCP’s mission and vision and working with TK-8 youth.
• Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities and constituents.
• Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of approximately 10-20 students per 1 staff.
• Provide academic mentoring and homework assistance.
• Lead students through academic activities.
• Adapt lesson plans for enrichment classes and clubs (art, cooking, STEM, fitness).
• Conduct life skills and team-building activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and BGCP leadership.
• Engage in weekly check-ins and participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain a positive, safe, productive work environment.
• Attend training and professional development opportunities.
