Job summary

Foster First is seeking a bilingual Youth Partner to support youth in the Tri-Cities foster care program. The role begins on-call with potential to transition to part-time as caseload grows, in‑person across the Tri-Cities region.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, including reading and writing. The Youth Partner works with youth and families providing case time, behavioral support, supervision, transportation, and crisis response.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).
• At least 1 year of documented experience with children or youth.
• Washington driver’s license and reliable transportation should be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, professional relationships with youth and foster families.
• Provide individualized case time and behavioral support as directed by the Case Manager.
• Make home and community visits to monitor progress toward case-plan goals.
• Provide youth supervision during trainings, meetings, appointments, and other activities.
• Respond to after-hours and crisis situations using trauma-informed approaches.
• Transport youth to visits, respite placements, medical appointments, and activities.
• Support and supervise visits between youth, parents, and siblings.
• Help foster families strengthen communication, parenting skills, and routines.
• Connect youth and families with community resources and supports.
• Complete 30 hours of ongoing training annually.
