Job summary

360HR is seeking a Part-time Youth Mentor/Advocate Counselor for New Directions Secondary School in The Bronx. The role supports 9th–12th grade students with attendance, behavior, and social-emotional development.

The position is 24 hours per week (10 months: Sept–June) with possible additional hours; bilingual English/Spanish required; associate degree in social sciences (Bachelor’s preferred) and prior school-based experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in social sciences; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 1+ year experience providing direct services in school-based or residential programs.
• Knowledge of attendance outreach best practices.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Flexible schedule with willingness to work school hours and some evenings.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage related data.
• Attend professional development opportunities as scheduled.
• Support attendance outreach, transitions, and lunch times.
• Maintain caseload and monitor student attendance and progress.
• Provide weekly individual and group mentoring to students.
