Job summary

Riverdale Park Animal Hospital in Riverdale Park, MD, seeks a versatile veterinary professional to support both reception and clinical duties. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, assist veterinarians, and help with basic patient care in a fast-paced, compassionate team.

Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required; we provide ASL-friendly and inclusive communication. Join us to grow your veterinary skills through hands-on training and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a general veterinary practice.
• Experience in both reception and technician roles preferred.
• Strong technical skills including animal restraint and venipuncture.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer phones, emails, and client questions while triaging concerns.
• Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and hospital flow.
• Check clients in and out and process payments.
• Provide hands-on patient care and assist veterinarians with exams and procedures.
• Safely perform animal restraint and assist with venipuncture and sample preparation.
• Operate IDEXX equipment and support diagnostics and patient monitoring.
