Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Dallas is seeking a Utilities Clerk to assist in maintaining the store, with duties in the Produce Department and helping customers on the floor. The role includes bagging groceries, carrying out groceries, and keeping the store clean and safe.

The position requires lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and good visual and auditory attention; familiarity with basic PC/Outlook is a plus. Open to candidates 16–17 years old.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English and interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the proper maintenance of the store, particularly in the Produce Department, and help customers on the store floor as needed.
• The Utilities Clerk will properly bag groceries, carry out groceries when requested, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
• Duties include retrieving store carts, running price checks, assisting with go-backs, checking store stand upkeep, and removing waste from the parking area.
• The position requires physical capabilities such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory attentiveness.
