Job summary

Compass Connections seeks compassionate individuals to join our Harlingen, TX team to provide safe and reliable transportation for children in care. The role supports emergency shelter and group home placement, with a focus on family reunification and community reintegration.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an excellent five-year driving record, bilingual English/Spanish fluency, and the ability to work 7am–5pm including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Excellent driving record for the past five years.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Meet federal and state guidelines applicable to the position.
• Use two-way radios, cell phones and other equipment as assigned.
• Do not use handheld phones while operating a vehicle.
• Cooperate with law enforcement when requested.
• Coordinate travel plans with supervisor and address transportation concerns.
• Attend scheduled meetings and participate in team decisions.
• Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Model and explain safety behaviors to children as directed.
