Job summary

Spring Independent School District SPECIAL EDUCATION SVCS - Houston, Texas is seeking a Translator-Special Services Clerk to produce Spanish translations of documents, provide oral translation for parents, and support ARD/re-evaluation meetings.

The role requires strong bilingual abilities, excellent communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Word for document production and formatting. Immediate start with full-time status in a public school setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 48 hours of college coursework required.
• Pass Spring ISD’s NCLB test in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Produce Spanish translations of documents and reports.
• Provide oral translation services for communication with parents.
• Interpret during Speech Language therapy sessions.
• Draft, edit and translate documents between English and Spanish.
• Schedule translations for ARD/re-evaluation meetings.
• Act as liaison between parents and various social services.
• Assist with completing paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned by Special Education leadership.
