Health RIGHT360 offers residential treatment services designed to serve individuals and families with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive services, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Residential programs run 24/7 and include individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, medication support services, and crisis intervention.

The HealthRIGHT 360 Mind OC Adult Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program is located on the Be Well Orange County campus, which brings together mental health care services uniting public, private, academic, and faith-based organizations in a cooperative partnership that helps facilitate communication, bridge gaps, and eliminate barriers to care. The result is a more compassionate system of care that works better for everyone in the community.

The 24/7/365 residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program provides 3.1, 3.3, and 3.5 ASAM levels of care for males and females, as well as 3.2 withdrawal management. There are 15 beds for 3.1/3.5, 15 beds for 3.3, and 12 beds for 3.2, totaling 42 beds.

The Clinical Therapist I is a registered professional who maintains a current registration with the BBS or CBP. The Clinical Therapist I is responsible for clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, interventions, crisis interventions, and discharge planning. They work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes and provide services in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360’s philosophy, goals, policies, mission, and vision. Treatment modalities include individual, group, and family therapy, provided in outpatient offices, residential settings, or in the field, based on client and program needs. The Clinical Therapist I participates in the on-call rotation and may be required to respond after hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Service:

  • Provides thorough clinical assessments and diagnoses.
  • Works with clients to develop client-centered treatment plans.
  • Monitors treatment progress and updates plans as needed.
  • Addresses mental health and/or substance use symptoms through individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Provides discharge planning to ensure safe client transitions.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention as needed.
  • Seeks clinical consultation throughout treatment and in high-risk situations.
  • Collaborates with treatment team members, including case managers, counselors, medical staff, and psychiatrists.
  • Maintains communication with the treatment team and participates in clinical meetings and case conferences.
  • Delivers services in outpatient, residential, or field settings based on client needs.
  • Assists with crisis assessment, intervention, and symptom management, including after-hours coverage on rotation.
  • Meets client care hours expectation (minimum 25 hours per week).

Clinical Documentation:

  • Completes progress notes within 72 hours of service delivery.
  • Maintains compliance with documentation deadlines and standards, including HIPAA, 42-CFR, DMH, and SAPC.
  • Prepares client progress letters and court reports, obtaining supervisor approval.
  • Ensures all documentation adheres to agency policies and legal standards.
  • Completes all assigned Utilization Review Criteria (URC) promptly.

Training, Supervision, and Quality Improvement:

  • Maintains compliance with BBS or CBP regulations.
  • Participates actively in clinical supervision and team meetings.
  • Pursues training and certifications in evidence-based practices.
  • Communicates effectively with all behavioral health team members.
  • Completes required trainings in a timely manner.

Requirements:

- MSW, MFT, LPCC, or PsyD from a regionally accredited graduate school

- Registration with the BBS or CBP, in good standing

- Fluent in Spanish and English

Experience Desired:

- At least two years’ experience providing DMH or SAPC services as a therapist (preferred)

- Experience treating clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (preferred)

- Knowledge of and experience with trauma-informed services
