Job summary

ETPCU Tyler Branch in Tyler, TX, seeks a Part-Time Teller (Bilingual Preferred) to assist members with deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related transactions. You will balance daily totals, verify cash, and help promote Credit Union services in person and via mail.

The role requires at least six months of cash handling experience, with strong math and communication skills, and a professional appearance. Bilingual preferred; on-site hours at Tyler, TX.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Teller operations and procedures. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations.
• At least six months cash handling experience.
• Good communication skills, professional appearance and attitude, and good math skills.
• Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
• Good typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide paying and receiving functions for members in person and by mail.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash advances.
• Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals; monitor for discrepancies.
• Actively cross-sell Credit Union products and services.
• Maintain professional relations with members and area personnel; assist as required.
• Perform drive-up service and night drop duties; keep area clean and secure.
