Job summary

Irving ISD is seeking a dedicated Teacher to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in core academic subjects. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate. Responsibilities include developing curriculum plans, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with special education staff. Applicants with ESL Supplemental Certification will be preferred. This is an in-person position located in Irving, Texas, and work-from-home is not permitted without approval.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree with valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences.
• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned.
• Assist students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of study.

Skills

Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

Knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
