The Dallas Independent School District is seeking a Bilingual Teacher for Pre-K grades. This role involves developing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and maintaining classroom standards. Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements, with written evidence of preparation. Prepare lessons accommodating different student learning styles. Present subject matter according to Texas Education Agency guidelines, Board policies, and administrative regulations. Establish and maintain classroom management and student behavior standards. Evaluate and record student progress, reporting to parents as needed. Teach the prescribed curriculum for the grade level and subject area, with written lesson plans for substitutes. Use diverse media and methods to motivate students and optimize instruction time. Identify student needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning issues. Be available for counseling and participate in community engagement activities like open house and PTA meetings. Coordinate with aides and student teachers when applicable. Develop evaluation systems in cooperation with the principal, maintain accurate student records, and perform other duties as assigned. Regular attendance at the worksite is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level is usually moderate. Travel across the district is required. Remote work is not an option for campus-based employees due to the necessity of regular, punctual attendance and performing all duties onsite.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, valid Texas teacher certification with endorsements for the assigned subject and level, and demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instruction. Ability to follow instructions, establish classroom management procedures, and stay current with professional developments.
