Join us as a Bilingual Teacher (Birth-3) at Chicago Youth Centers

Chicago Youth Centers is seeking a passionate Bilingual Teacher to serve children aged 15 months to 3 years. Join us in making a difference in the community and impacting children's lives!

Position Details
  • Title: Bilingual Teacher (Birth-3)
  • Company: Chicago Youth Centers (CYC)
  • Location: CYC Calumet Heights Center, 9207 S. Phillips Ave., Chicago, IL
  • Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday (schedule varies)
  • Compensation: $40,000 - $58,000 annually, based on experience and credentials
Responsibilities
  • Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences across physical, social-emotional, and intellectual areas
  • Conduct developmental screenings, review health records, and observe children’s behaviors
  • Create a child-centered environment with individualized and group activities
  • Develop weekly lesson plans and daily schedules
  • Administer growth assessments and review medical records in collaboration with social services
  • Conduct home visits and parent conferences to discuss child development and behavior
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or BA Degree with 30+ credits in Early Childhood Education
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
