Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Bilingual Teacher Assistant for the BTAP program. The position supports dual language classrooms by translating for students and families, assisting with instruction, and managing records under teacher supervision.

It is a grant-funded, part-time/hourly role with pay rates ranging from $13.00 to $22.00 per hour. Position depends on funds and school placement, with hours up to 14.5 per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an EC-6 Bilingual Education Program.
• Must maintain a College semester GPA of 3.0 to stay in good standing with BTAP.
• 6 months FWISD-approved experience working with students or parents.
• Language: Bilingual (oral and written) proficiency required.
• Incoming/Current college student eligibility per BTAP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, manages, and implements instructional activities under the direction and guidance of the teacher.
• Translates and interprets for students and parents/guardians in English and Spanish.
• Assists with record keeping.
• Monitors children and reports progress to teacher.
• Attends all BTAP trainings.
• Attends in-service, team, and faculty meetings when requested by administrator.
• Conducts individualized and small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Maintains confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
