Role Description

This part-time Bilingual Teacher role is an on-site position located in Berwyn, IL. The Bilingual Teacher will plan and deliver instruction in both English and Spanish, supporting students’ academic achievement and language development. Daily responsibilities include designing lessons aligned with curriculum standards, differentiating instruction, and using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and colleagues about student growth. The role also involves collaborating with other educators, participating in team meetings, and contributing to a welcoming classroom environment that promotes cultural and linguistic inclusion.

Qualifications

• Strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience delivering instruction to multilingual or bilingual learners.
• Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing standards-based, differentiated lessons.
• Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in both English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in a second language relevant to the school community (Spanish) and ability to use it for instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; appropriate state teaching certification or eligibility preferred.
• Experience working in culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms and commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices is preferred.
• Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
