Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 credit hours or high school diploma/GED with qualifying test scores
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college/university preferred
• Illinois ELS-PARA license (or Substitute/Educator license w/Stipulations) required

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instruction and classroom management
• Lead small group discussions to reinforce learning
• Translate information from teachers to students for clarity
• Organize classroom materials and manage transitions
• Supervise lunch, recess, and bus assistance as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies
• Communicate clearly in writing and orally to students and staff
• Provide nurturing guidance and support to students
