The Sherwin-Williams Company in Orlando, FL is hiring a Spray Equipment Technician to service store and customer sites, repair spray equipment, and train staff on proper usage.

You will also maintain spray equipment inventory, rebuild pumps, and support sales at Store #2455. Strong mechanical skills, willingness to work evenings/weekends, and ability to read and communicate in English and Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.
  • Experience with spray equipment and hydraulic pumps is preferred.

Job description

This position is responsible for spray equipment (e.g. airless, conventional, electrostatic, pressure washers) at the store or at customers' job sites. This includes performing necessary repairs, providing training on equipment, and maintaining inventory as required.

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #2455, located at: 4206 N Orange Blossom Trl,Orlando, FL 32804-2764.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

  • Support the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers.
  • Perform repairs on all types of spray equipment (e.g. airless, conventional, electrostatic, pressure washers.) at the store or at customers' job sites
  • Conduct hydraulic and warranty repairs
  • Rebuild pumps
  • Repair branch tinting and mixing equipment
  • Educate other employees and customers on spray equipment
  • Maintain an inventory of spray parts
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Have prior work experience repairing spray and/or hydraulic pumps and equipment
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
