Job summary

Hand In Hand Development, Inc. seeks NYS-licensed Special Educators to deliver in-home early intervention services across the five boroughs of NYC.

The role involves coordinating with families, multidisciplinary teams and supervisors to implement IFSP-driven programs in home, school, or community settings. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Special Education or related field, NYS licensure, and at least 2 years’ experience supporting children with autism and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Masters in Special Education or related field.
• NYS Licensure as Special Educator or LMSW.
• Teaching Certifications and relevant credentials.
• Experience with Students with Disabilities Birth to 2nd grade.
• Initial Professional or Permanent Special Education Certificate.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Experience developing behavior plans and skill acquisition plans.
• Experience collaborating with families.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• At least 2 years with autism and related developmental disabilities.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home therapeutic services across NYC’s five boroughs.
• Work in a team-centered approach with multidisciplinary professionals.
• Deliver behavior interventions in home, school or community settings.
• Collaborate with families and IFSP team to set goals.
• Coordinate with supervisor and other service providers.

Education

Masters Degree in Special Education

NYS Licensure as Special Educator

Teaching Certifications

Location: Throughout 5 Boroughs

Salary Range Fee for Service 60 for 30 min session 80 for 60 min session with DOH Letter as a W2 65 for 30 min session 85 for 60 min session with DOH Letter as a 1099

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking NYS Licensed Special Educators to provide therapeutic services in home settings Our In Home Services are provided throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC We utilize a team centered approach fostering collaboration across all disciplines Provide behavior intervention within the home school or community settingCollaborate with families and multidisciplinary team to create programs and work towards goals listed in the childs IFSPCollaborate with the supervisorWork effectively with our team of multi disciplinary service providers

Education andor Work Experience Requirements
