Job summary

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD seeks a 2026-2027 SY Special Education Resource Elementary Bilingual teacher to join the pool. The position reports to the Principal and serves assigned campus(es) with emphasis on ARD processes and IEP goals. A strong foundation in special education is required.

Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas SPED certification are mandatory. The role involves developing, delivering, and modifying curricula and working collaboratively to support student growth across elementary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting and implementation.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for students with special needs.
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD meetings.
• Implement instructional programs and modify curricula for assigned students.
• Plan and deliver instruction using appropriate materials and technology.
• Work with teachers to modify regular curricula as needed.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings regularly.
• Assist in selection of reading and instructional materials.
