Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of post high school education or higher, or pass a state-approved test.
• At least one year of work experience involving interpersonal interaction and supporting students with social, emotional, and behavior needs.
• Spanish-speaking required; experience with behavior management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort students to transportation and other areas of the building.
• Provide personal care to students with special daily living needs as needed.
• Support review and practice of skills in 1:1 or small groups in special education or regular classrooms.
• Work with students in school and community settings.
• Prepare instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Reinforce instructional and behavioral objectives.
• Assist with maintaining student records and class administration.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and on the playground.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
