The candidate will maintain records, collaborate with staff, and engage families while integrating technology and adhering to school curricula reflecting diverse student backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Experience in growth-focused coaching through frequent observations and planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Experience supervising students in various school settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans and adjust accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize school approved curricula reflecting diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
• Incorporate technology into daily classroom practice to support learning.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
