Job summary

St. Joseph Academy in Milwaukee seeks a Bilingual Assistant Teacher (BAT) to support the lead teacher in daily programming for children. The BAT will help implement high-quality activities and communicate with families, ensuring the program meets DPI and parental choice standards.

Qualifications

• AA degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• 1+ years experience in licensed childcare or elementary setting.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Strong interpersonal and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher in daily program for children according to DPI, Milwaukee Parental Choice and federal guidelines.
• Serve as liaison with families to communicate needs and progress.
• Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, organized classroom and materials.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and implement daily activities and schedules.
• Monitor children's wellbeing and report concerns to the Principal.
