Job summary

ADAPT Community Network is seeking a full-time Bilingual Spanish Social Worker to support our Forest Hills West School in Middle Village, NY. The role focuses on empowering students and families, advocating for access to educational and clinical resources, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Social Work, NYS LMSW or eligibility, and a NY bilingual extension.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in NY or eligible.
• New York State Bilingual Spanish Extension required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in intake processes and prepares case notes and social histories.
• Provides emotional and behavioral support to students and families.
• Advocates for student needs within educational and clinical systems.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams and staff for IEP planning and reviews.
• Maintains confidentiality and documents status of all active cases.
