The HR Generalist supports the Human Resources function by performing a mix of complex and routine administrative, technical, and professional HR duties in a manufacturing plant environment. This role supports the Human Resources Department by undertaking responsibility for various complex and routine administrative, technical and professional HR functions to ensure stable employee relations and a safe and secure work environment.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Employee Relations & Workplace Support
  • Participate in conflict management, concern resolution, and investigations.
  • Support supervisors with documentation, corrective actions, and communication.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies across assigned areas.
  • Promote a respectful, safe, and positive work environment.
  • Conduct hourly and salaried recruiting, including job postings, screening, interviews, and job bidding/transfer coordination.
  • Coordinate with external recruiting agencies, ensuring accurate job requirements, timely candidate flow, and smooth onboarding.
  • Support contingent staffing utilization and workforce stability.
  • Lead new‑hire orientation and exit interviews.
Policy Administration & Compliance
  • Assist with HR policy development, enforcement, education, and interpretation.
  • Maintain employee files and HR records in compliance with company, state, and federal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Support safety and EHS processes as needed.
HRIS, Reporting & Data Management
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and personnel files.
  • Prepare required monthly and ad‑hoc reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, etc.).
  • Support internal and external audits and document retention requirements.
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Support or lead employee involvement, recognition activities, and morale events.
  • Support or lead with communication initiatives such as newsletters or announcements.
  • Reinforce positive teamwork, professionalism, and respectful workplace expectations.
  • Must follow all company requirements in regard to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
