Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services is seeking qualified clinicians to perform pediatric evaluations in home or school settings across the New York metro area. The role includes writing evaluation reports and determining the need for further assessment based on observations.

The candidate must be NYS Certified (Birth-2 or Permanent Special Education) and bilingual Spanish is a must, with additional extension for preschool services. Travel to assigned cases is required.

Qualifications

• NYS Certified Special Educator: Students with Disabilities (Birth-2) or Permanent Special Education certificate.
• Bilingual Spanish required; bilingual extension needed for preschool services.
• Experience administering DAYC-2 and HELP assessments.
• Experience evaluating children birth to five is a plus.
• EI Evaluations training completed (EILN Intro and Advanced).
• Must be self-motivated, a team player, patient and professional.

Responsibilities

• Administer evaluations in home and/or school settings.
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and submit timely.
• Determine need for additional assessment per observation.
• Conduct evaluations in the child’s primary language.
• Maintain confidentiality and submit records within deadlines.

We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. LOCATION: Positions throughout the Five Boroughs of New York City

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer evaluations in home and/or school based settings
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and submit them in a timely manner
• Determine need for additional assessment per observation and child need
• Conduct evaluations in the primary language of the child
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

• NYS Certified Special Educator: Students with Disabilities (Birth-2) or Permanent Special Education certificate
• Bilingual Spanish a must; Bilingual extension necessary for provision of services in our preschool program.
• Experience administering the DAYC-2 and HELP
• Experience evaluating children birth - five years old a plus

• Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to climb and descend staircases
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

$131-$153 per evaluation
