Job summary

Project Self-Sufficiency in Newton, New Jersey seeks compassionate professionals to provide case management and supportive counseling for low‑income single parents. Responsibilities include client intake assessments, establishing goals, and fostering client actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required.
• Master’s in social work or licensed clinical social worker a plus.
• 2–5 years’ related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients during intake process to assess psychological, emotional, and social information.
• Establish course of action by exploring options and setting goals with clients.
• Obtain assistance for clients by referring them to community resources.
• Foster clients’ actions by interpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior.
• Document and maintain case records.
• Follow up with clients periodically to monitor progress.
• Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
• Maintain client confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Contribute to team efforts by assisting with agency events.
