Responsibilities

  • Plans and conducts school-based psychological evaluations using a variety of tools and methods for specific referral questions, including FBA, RTI, writing reports, and providing feedback to parents and consultation to school staff.
  • Participates as a member of student-centered teams such as IEP planning and evaluation of interventions, pre-referral processes, FBA, and Manifestation Determinations.
  • Maintains a variety of tests and equipment, orders protocols, and ensures security of materials.
  • Consults with teachers and administrators regarding evidence-based interventions, progress monitoring, eligibility, and mental health issues.
  • Provides crisis intervention and serves on student assistance/emergency response teams as requested.
  • Maintains up-to-date professional skills through reading, trainings, and professional development.
  • Completes records and reports promptly and participates on committees as needed.
  • Provides training and resources on psychological topics including child, family, parent, and educational issues.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor of Psychological Services.

Summary

The Bilingual SchoolPsychologist provides a full range ofschoolpsychological services to children ages 0-21, including assessment and intervention planning, consultation and counseling, program development and systems support. TheSchoolPsychologist also functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to determine the student’s eligibility for special services, appropriate programming, and on-going evaluation and systems support, working directly with students, faculty, parents, administration, and the community at large. TheSchoolPsychologist delivers services and implements all procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, andschoolpolicies and procedures and utilizes practices that are evidence based or scientifically validated.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plans and conductsschoolbasedpsychological evaluations using a variety of tools and methodsfor specific referral questions; including but not limited to formal and informal methods, FBA, RTI, writing reports, developing recommendations, providing resources, and providing feedback to parents and consultation toschoolstaff.
  • Participates as a member of student-centered teams such as intervention planning, Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning, evaluation of interventions, pre-referral processes, FBA, Manifestation Determinations, etc.
  • Maintains a variety of tests and other equipment needed to conduct evaluations for referral reasons including ordering protocols, recommending the purchase of revised or new tests/tools, and maintaining security of all materials.
  • Consults with teachers and administrators regarding evidence based/scientifically validated interventions, intervention progress monitoring, special education eligibility, mental health disorders, program evaluation, and otherpsychological services.
  • Provides crisis intervention and serves on student assistance/emergency response teams as requested.
  • Maintains up to date, best practice professional skills through reading current literature, attending required trainings,actively participating in professional development.
  • Completes all records, reports and assignments promptly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Participates on CCIU,school, andschooldistrict committees as needed.
  • Provides training and resources on a wide variety ofpsychological topics including child, family, parent, and educational issues.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor of Psychological Services.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • PDEEducational Specialist School Psychologist PK-12 Certification
  • Master's degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking)
Professional or Other Required Clearances
  • Current ACT 34, ACT 151 & FBI Fingerprints required upon hire
  • Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire.)
Salary (2025-2026 School Year)

Master's + 30 Credits (Educational Specialist): $69,938- $106,442/yr.
*Placement on salary scale is commensurate with years of experience in a relevant role*

Schedule

10-month Schedule: 194 Days/Year, 5 Days/Week, 7.5 Hours/Day
