Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience interpreting preferred, and fluency in multiple languages; confidentiality and cultural sensitivity are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide oral and/or written interpretation during parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, school events, or meetings with non-English speaking parents.
• Interpret both formal and informal communication, maintain neutrality, and ensure accurate translation and interpretations.
• Ensure clear transmission of information, including academic performance and special education plans.
• Translations must be culturally and contextually appropriate for the audience.
• Maintain cultural sensitivity and stay updated on terminology in different languages.
• Develop professional relationships with staff and administration; adhere to district policies.
