Job summary

UCFS Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician to provide mental health services to students in a middle school setting in Eastern CT. This school-based position runs 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during typical school hours.

You will perform clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with school staff and families while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or equivalent licensure eligibility.
• 2 years of experience treating children/adolescents with significant behavioral/emotional challenges.
• CT state licensure: LMSW, LPC-A, or MFTA; eligible for LCSW/LMFT/LPC.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and client-centered treatment aligned with quality standards and evidence-based practices.
• Monitor and adjust individual goals through weekly reviews of short- and long-term benchmarks.
• Maintain timely documentation per licensing and payer requirements (DCF, DMHAS, CT-BHP, Medicaid) and use EPIC for records.
• Assess risk and determine levels of care for crisis or high-need clients.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with UCFS and external providers and agencies.
