A leading company in the manufacturing of sanitary stainless steel process equipment is seeking experienced welders for temporary assignments. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, including sanitary welding and pipe fitting, with an emphasis on hygiene and safety standards in food and pharmaceutical environments. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are required to ensure effective communication. The role offers an opportunity to work with a well-established team on various projects, enhancing your professional experience in a high-demand field.
Temporary Job (Approx. 3 months)
Required Technical Skills:
Sanitary (Hygienic) Welding:
Proven experience in TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel sanitary piping (food or pharmaceutical grade).
Skilled in performing argon purging for internal weld quality.
Knowledge of 3-A, ASME BPE, and/or USDA sanitary standards.
Pipe Fitting:
Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, P&ID diagrams, and 3D layout drawings (e.g., SolidWorks or AutoCAD).
Skilled in pipe layout, cutting, fit-up, and precise alignment.
Installation of sanitary fittings (valves, tees, elbows, reducers) with hygienic practices.
Structural Welding:
Experience welding stainless steel structures (TIG and/or MIG).
Fabrication and installation of racks, platforms, brackets, and support frames.
Combo Pipe Welding:
Ability to weld carbon steel pipe using SMAW (stick) and TIG (root-pass).
Experience in mixed material installations (steam, hot water, chemicals).
Able to follow WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and work with E6010, E7018 rods.
General Requirements:
Language Skills: Bilingual - fluent in both Spanish and English (able to read safety signs, technical drawings, and communicate instructions).
Legal Status: Authorized to work in the U.S. (e.g., citizen, permanent resident, valid work visa).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Availability: Willing to travel for projects in or out of state; available for shift work if needed.
Additional Qualifications:
AWS D1.1, ASME IX, or similar welding certifications (not required if skills are demonstrated).
OSHA 10 or 30 safety training certification.
Ability to train helpers or supervise small teams.
Experience with CIP/SIP system installation is a plus.
