Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years of sales experience in the Japanese food industry.
• 1+ year of management or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Japanese foods, fresh fish, seafood, and liquor products.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Work environment includes office settings and customer locations with noise levels ranging from normal to loud.

Responsibilities

• Set monthly and annual sales quotas for the sales team.
• Develop and increase sales revenue to achieve targets by leading, directing, and motivating sales staff.
• Analyze sales performance data and create action plans to address gaps.
• Coordinate with purchasing to forecast product shortages and manage sales of limited-availability products.
• Ensure timely payment collection while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Research market trends and attend trade shows to stay informed on products and industry developments.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop new sales team members.
• Safely maintain and operate a company vehicle per policy.
• Attend company events and business functions outside normal hours as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Respond to management requests and directives as required.
