Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute safety manuals, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions and orientations for new hires.
  • Develop training materials and presentations.
  • Track participation in safety training programs.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas.
  • Identify hazards with Operations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Act as primary contact for safety incidents and near-misses.
  • Assist in incident investigations and data gathering for reports.
  • Support emergency response plan development and drills.
  • Communicate safety policies and updates to team members.
  • Promote a culture of safety through campaigns and communications.
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends and improvements.
  • Generate management reports on safety performance.
  • Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and compliance.
  • Assist in regulatory report preparation and submission.
  • Translate instructions and materials for Spanish-speaking team members.

We’re hiring a Safety Representative to join County Materials in Roberts, WI.

Job Summary

As a Safety Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols and procedures within the organization. You will work closely with Operations and other members of the Safety Team to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all team members. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintainaccurateand up-to-date records of safety-related activities, incidents, and inspections.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of safety manuals, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions and orientations for new hires.
  • Assistin the development of training materials and presentations.
  • Track team member participation in safety training programs.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas.
  • Collaborate with Operations toidentifypotential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external safety audits.
  • Act as a point of contact for reporting safety incidents, near misses, and hazards.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents, gathering relevant information for reporting and analysis.
  • Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Coordinate drills and exercises to ensure team members are familiar with emergency procedures
  • Communicate safety policies, procedures, and updates to team members.
  • Assist in promoting a culture of safety through regular communication and awareness campaigns.
  • Compile and analyze safety data toidentifytrends and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports for management regarding safety performance and compliance.
  • Stay informed about relevant safety regulations and ensureorganizationalcompliance.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.
  • Translation of verbal instructions and training for Spanish-speaking team members.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Safety-relatededucation is a plus.

Licenses/Certificates

Work Environment
  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure may include Noise, weather, machinery, and equipment, etc.
