The role emphasizes incident investigations, training, recordkeeping, and continuous improvement of processes in both office and shop environments.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or Industrial Hygiene preferred.
• 1 year of experience in industrial safety and/or environmental compliance preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, and state environmental regs; strong data management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Enforce PPE use and safe work practices; coordinate safety trainings and drills.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor environmental compliance, waste handling, and reporting (EPA, DOT, Tier II, TRI).
