Job summary

San Ysidro Health is seeking an Ambulatory Care Supervisor to oversee daily clinical operations and patient care for care teams. The role balances direct patient care with supervision, ensuring high quality, cost-efficient services in a Nurse Practice Act-compliant environment.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN (or higher) and an active California RN license with BLS. Bilingual Spanish/English is required for collaboration across sites and patient needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN with direct reports and/or unit oversight.
• Active California RN License and BLS certification.
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily team-based functions in a Patient Centered Medical Home model.
• Develop and enforce department protocols to improve outcomes and safety.
• Supervise care team staffing and direct patient care as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Nurse Practice Act and health plan requirements.
• Represent nursing in site CQI meetings and implement workflow improvements.
• Travel to multiple SYHealth sites as needed.
