Job summary

La Maestra Community Health Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse to support medical providers and coordinate direct patient care in our clinic. The RN will manage patient flow, educate patients, and participate in case management for high-risk individuals.

The ideal candidate holds a CA RN license, CPR certification, and 2–4 years of related experience. Bilingual Spanish preferred to enhance service delivery to our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• CA Registered Nurse License and CPR certification.
• Two to four years of related experience.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Experience in medical settings and collaborating with medical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for urgency and prioritize by acuity.
• Explain procedures to patients to gain cooperation.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist Physician during treatment.
• Observe patients, record conditions, and notify physician of changes.
• Take vital signs and monitor for deviations from normal.
• Perform administrative and managerial functions (staff, HEDIS, compliance).
• Respond to life-saving situations per standards and protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Supervise Medical Assistants and Case Managers.
• Maintain nursing supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
• Agree to travel to other sites to cover the RN as needed.
