Job summary

The RN will support attending physicians and Family Medicine residents, assist with procedures, manage care coordination, and contribute to a team-based learning environment.

This role emphasizes diabetes and hypertension management, preventive services, documentation accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and compassionate care for diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in California.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in primary care or outpatient settings.
• Experience in FQHC or safety-net settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and document patient care in the EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per protocols.
• Assist with procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Monitor patients and respond to urgent situations.
• Support chronic disease management through follow-up and education.
• Coordinate referrals and continuity of care with internal/external providers.
• Collaborate with Family Medicine residents and clinical staff.
