Job summary

VIPcare is seeking a Regional Medical Assistant (Float) to support multiple clinics within the region. The role blends clinical tasks with front-desk responsibilities, including preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting physicians, and updating the EMR to ensure seamless patient care.

The position requires travel within the region (about 85%) and a minimum of 1 year MA experience. CPR and CMA/RMA credentials are preferred. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination by obtaining history, vitals, and other information.
• Assist provider with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Maintain complete and detailed EMR records.
• Handle front-desk operations: phones, appointments, inquiries, triage.
• Perform in-office CLIA-waived lab tests and basic diagnostic tasks.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
• Travel within region 85% of the time.
