Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. in California is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant II to support the dental provider in direct patient care, handle sterilization, inventory, and infection control, and help run efficient back-office operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RDA experience, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and holds an active California RDA license. X-ray, ultrasonic scaler, and other certifications are a plus. A valid BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RDA work experience in a dental office setting required.
• Active Registered Dental Assistant license with CA is required; sealant certification asset.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist dental provider in direct patient care.
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and supplies.
• Maintain inventory control and infection control in patient areas.
• Improve back-office efficiency and mentor new staff.
