Job summary

LG Electronics seeks an R&D Engineer for its Home Appliance Manufacturing team in Clarksville, TN. You will work on development and manufacturing of home appliances, using SolidWorks CAD and 3‑D modeling to design, qualify, and produce innovative products.

The role requires a Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical engineering background, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and collaboration across teams to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical engineering.
• Preferred experience with washing machines (not required).
• In‑depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D/2D CAD software.
• Exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• Knowledge of dimensional and tolerance standards and experience in performing tolerance analysis of complex assemblies.

We are currently seeking an R&D Engineer to join our Home Appliance Manufacturing team in Clarksville, TN.

The R&D Engineer requires expertise in the development and manufacturing of home appliances to provide better value to its customers. This role involves conducting research and development based on analytical thinking and market understanding. The R&D Engineer will work on diverse projects, requiring strong management ability. Responsibilities include providing technical advice, assisting the project team in identifying, reviewing, and resolving issues from the customer perspective, and understanding the flow of production, manufacturing, and sales of the developed parts or products. The engineer will also forecast and proactively design solutions for problems that occur at each stage.
