Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide trauma-informed behavioral health care to underserved populations within our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). You will diagnose, treat, and manage psychiatric conditions, delivering integrated, whole-person care while considering social determinants of health.

Join our Street Medicine Team and collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and care teams in an integrated model.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric experience.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and buprenorphine treatment is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide psychiatric medication management and ongoing follow‑up care.
• Deliver trauma‑informed, evidence‑based behavioral health services.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists through APRN Protocol Agreements.
• Work closely with primary care providers, therapists, social workers, and care teams in an integrated care model.
• Support patients with co‑occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Participate in community outreach events and health fairs 3‑4 times annually.
• Promote equitable healthcare access and positive patient outcomes.
