Mesquite ISD is seeking an Instructional Support staff member to assist the teacher in general daily classroom activities and to support pupils in small group settings.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Texas Educational Aide Certificate, with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain constructive relationships with students and staff.

Aufgaben

• Assist in small group pupil instruction and tutor students at teacher's request.
• Plan and implement pre-kindergarten physical education instruction based on district provided curriculum.
• Help maintain discipline and other non-instructional functions.
• Record attendance information and related clerical functions with the teacher.
• Collaborate with the teacher to set up classroom and prepare materials for specialized instructional units.
• Assemble materials for bulletin boards and keep displays current.
• Operate standard school equipment such as laminator, copier, etc.
• Escort children to and from various rooms.
• Supervise students when teacher is temporarily absent
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
